Selective Admissions for Health Sciences

There are several ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ programs (listed below) in the Health Sciences that require you to earn a minimum Grade Point Average in select prerequisite courses and/or meet other criteria before you are eligible for admission. These requirements are explained in detail at the Nursing and Allied Health Profession Programs Information Sessions → which are program-specifc, and are held throughout the year.

The Spring, Summer, and Fall 2027 General Admissions Applications will open no later than Friday, October 2.

Please note that the programs listed below are selective programs and require a secondary selective application in addition to the general application, as well as additional admission requirements.

What is Selective Admissions?

The application deadline for new students who are pursuing a certificate or associate degree for the fall 2026 semester is Friday, August 28, 2026.

There are two distinct applications required for admissions to the Health Sciences programs:

ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ Community College Application

If you’ve never previously enrolled at ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´, you must first complete and submit a ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ Application, and select your target health sciences program on page 2. Once your application has been processed, you will be classified as a General Studies student with a concentration in your target health Sciences program. This will be your ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ student classification until you have completed your target Health Sciences program’s admissions requirements, as well as the College’s general education requirements. When you are accepted and enrolled, you need to receive immunizations before you attend classes as a full-time student. Please file the .

Health Sciences Selective Application

The selective Health Sciences programs each accept a limited number of students and there is a secondary application process.

In an effort to be transparent and assist students with their planning, we are sharing the common clinical requirements. These requirements are essential for ensuring that all students are adequately prepared for their clinical placements and can provide safe and effective care to patients.
