����ԭ��

The Center opened for spring 2024 semester in January. Located at 490 Franklin Street, the facility is situated on public transportation routes, close to Framingham State University’s (FSU) campus. ����ԭ��’s long-standing partnership with FSU provides a seamless pipeline, enabling students to pursue their professional paths over time.

With the Center in place, ����ԭ�� is able to educate and train increasing numbers of nurses, radilogical technicians, surgical technicians, emergency medical technicians, social workers, counselors, and early childhood educators. In addition to their classes and labs, ����ԭ�� students receive invaluable clinical training at local hospitals, nursing homes, pre-schools, day care centers, rehabilitation centers, and numerous other institutions.

The Health Sciences, Early Childhood, and Human Services Center also offers space for community meetings and events. Lab space will be rented to medical device companies to train physicians and other healthcare personnel on innovative health science activities and solutions. The Center will be available to Framingham State University students, working firefighters, EMTs, and medical personnel.

Since 1990, the College has leased space in Framingham for its Health Sciences programs. The new building will house the only Certified Simulation Center in the region for unparalleled education and training in Nursing and Allied Health professions.

����ԭ��’s accredited degree and certificate Health Sciences programs produce highly-skilled professionals across many specialties. Graduates transfer to bachelor’s degree programs or earn certification or licensure as nurses, radiologic technicians, paramedics or Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT), surgical technologists, and more. In addition to ����ԭ��’s current roster of academic programs in Health Sciences, the Center will be home to new programs, including computed tomography, ultrasound technician, and medical assistant, that address the high workforce demand in these fields.

Experienced faculty supervise students in field placements in hospitals and clinics. ����ԭ��’s clinical partners include many major Boston-based hospitals, such as Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston Children’s Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, as well as MetroWest Medical Center, and hospitals as far as Gardner and Worcester. Diagnostic labs, fire departments, medical transport companies, skilled nursing centers, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) companies serve as ����ԭ��’s clinical partners and hire its students.

Human Services and Early Childhood programs prepare students for work that improves lives. ����ԭ�� offers associate degree programs preparing students for transfer into bachelor’s degree programs in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, and Human Services, as well as certificate programs preparing graduates for direct entry into the workforce. Our graduates enter careers as educators in preschools, childcare centers, elementary schools, afterschool programs, or as social workers at community centers to support people in need.
