The Marketing and Communications team recognizes that it is our job to promote the work of all our colleagues to the general public. Our primary goal is to tell the ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ story in an effective, compelling manner that showcases our unique, special community to prospective students and their families. We work collaboratively with all members of the ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ community to ensure our brand messaging and advertisements accurately reflect the academic programs, services, and advantages a ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ education provides.
The Marketing and Communications team is dedicated to supporting all departments across the campus. To streamline requests and better serve the ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ community, we utilize a , FMX. To request services including print materials, promoting events or activities via the on-campus plasma TV screens, changes to the website, the development and distribution of press releases, social media posts, and more, please enter an FMX marketing ticket.
Once entered, you will receive an acknowledgement of receipt of your request. You will receive emails via the FMX system with clarifying questions and updates until your project has been delivered.
Our Deadline: for a new item, 2-3 weeks before you need it; updating a previous item will take less time (Note that off-site printing takes at least one week.)
What we need: Please attach text in a Word document (NOTE: Per the brand guidelines, all text must be final and approved). In the FMX ticket description box, please provide all instructions including if the project needs to be printed externally, and if you plan to mail the materials (and need assistance with the mailing). We can obtain a quote for you from the printer/mail shop; we also are able to purchase mailing lists.

What we need: In the Description box, please provide all necessary details as well as content for the post such as: photo/video or other graphic, any website, relevant hashtags, any person or organization we should tag.

What we need: If updating a current page, please provide the page URL in the FMX ticket description box, and attach a Word document with new text or text changes clearly outlined. (NOTE: Per the brand guidelines, all text must be final and approved). You may also attach relevant photos you'd like published. If you need a new page or section created, please schedule a meeting with Wendy Walsh, our web developer, to talk through the specifics.
The ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ Marketing & Communications team manages the slideshow that displays on prominent plasma TV screens on all three campuses. The messages are intended for the internal ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ audience only: on campus events, upcoming deadlines for semester registration or scholarship applications, or other important internal notifications.

What we need: In the FMX ticket description box, please include the specific text for the slide. You also can submit your own Power Point slide for us to upload and/or relevant photos, or we will design the slide for you. Please note, these slides only appear for 5-7 seconds, so limiting the amount of text on your slide is strongly encouraged.
Under the direction of Associate Director of Public Relations, Liz Cooper, ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ regularly appears in local and regional media outlets. If you have an upcoming event that is open to the public, or if there is someone on campus whose achievements you believe to be newsworthy, please enter an FMX ticket for a press release.
Our Deadline: as much time as possible before an event or announcement (minimum 2 weeks).
What we need: In the FMX ticket description box, please include why the event or announcement is newsworthy, all of the necessary details, the best contact person and their information, as well as additional people (students, partners, funders, etc.) who should be interviewed. We encourage you to attach relevant photos to the ticket as well.
Activities and events that are produced by students for students are promoted by Student Development. For other campus-wide announcements, such as activities and events that are open to faculty, staff, and students, upcoming enrollment deadlines, or other noteworthy activities that would impact a large percentage of our population, please enter an FMX ticket for the marketing and communications team to send a campus-wide email blast. Please allow 1-2 weeks in advance of an event or activity when possible.

For individuals who wish to develop messaging that will be used only for our internal community, the ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ Marketing and Communications team has developed brand guidelines and templates for you to follow. For promotional materials that will be distributed to the general public, including branded clothing or other trinkets, please enter an FMX ticket.
The preservation of our brand is the responsibliity of our entire community. Please conform to our Brand Guidelines when you develop any materials that will include the ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ logo.
To help members of our community adhere to our brand guidelines, we have developed a series of templates members of the ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ community are encouraged to use.
The use of the ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ logo implies the approval of the College for your publication/material. Please refer to the Brand Guidelines for instructions about how and where to use the ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ logo.

The ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ Marketing and Communications Department is a proud member of the , the only organization of its kind that exclusively represents marketing and public relations professionals at community and technical colleges. NCMPR boasts more than 1,600 members from nearly 600 colleges across the United States and Canada.
Over the past two years, the Department has earned ten Medallion Awards at the conference for its work products, including four gold medals, making ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ one of the most prolific award winners in the District. In addition, ÌÇÐÄÔ´´â€™s Associate Director of Public Relations, Liz Cooper, earned the 2024 District 1 Communicator of the Year award.
In spring 2025, ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ earned its first-ever Paragon Award at the NCMPR national conference. Paragons are given to select submissions from all NCMPR districts. ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ earned its Paragon, a Gold, for the logo wear category.
